London to Brighton
London to Brighton:-
writes Jan
Paul, Jayne, Stu and I made the trip to London Crystal Palace, in readiness for the run to Brighton.
I don’t think Paul’s mini has ever gone so slow…………….or Billy so fast.
Thanks to a steep down hill gradient, a stiff following wind and most importantly being out of gear (he goes faster that way ) Billy hit the mind blowing speeds of 71 miles an hour and technically broke the speed limit – the little tinker!
There may have only been four of us but we were always aware of our duties to the club and we partook in some sociable drinking with the surrounding mini owners – and you will be pleased to hear that we were very sociable

What a fantastic weekend this was!
Great company, great minis and a great time had by all, writes Jan
Frantic Friday was exactly as it says on the tin with the objective being…………How much partying can you squeeze into a few hours?
I am proud and happy to report that the stalwart members of Yeovil Mini Mania rose to the occasion and partied like it was 1999!
I must offer huge apologies to Andy and Lesley Harwood for inviting random people into their caravan (especially Chris who crashed his mini and then crashed in their loo after being somewhat ill )
I am truly sorry but I was under the influence of alcoholic substances of unknown origin at the time.
The highlight of the evening was Justin finding his caravan key in his pocket about 2hrs after Frank and Martin had left to go home to said caravan………..I’d like to say that Justin rushed to the aid of his friends but I would be telling a teensy weensy fib………..but guys it would have been downright rude of him not to have finished his drinks first and Justin is nothing if not well mannered!
Saturday evening proved to be just as eventful, with quite a few highlights!
Greg and Colin’s Hot Gossip Wii dance routine to Cotton Eyed Joe was truly outstanding!
Yeovil Mini Mania sure has some hidden talent in its midst! This was quickly followed by Jan Ridout’s fantastically, hilarious Queen’s Speech during the fancy dress parade.
Jan also found out that even though a drink tastes like cooperative cough linctus…………….. it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is good for you – as she discovered on Sunday morning .
I must say that everyone who went to Newquay made the weekend truly brilliant and its lovely to be able to party with such fun people!
Yeovil Mini Mania is really blessed, as its members are simply the best!
