We arrived at the Castle and set about arranging ourselves into a stunning display that could not fail to impress:

And, guess what?

We won the Best Club Stand award – again!

Gary collected the prize of £250. The Lambos were sick as parrots:

Classic cars, Tractors, Commercials, Motor Bikes, Arena events, Pet Show, Dog show, Craft Tent, BEER TENT, Food and Camping. Entertainment Saturday evening. It’s an enjoyable country show with a good atmosphere.

Huge big thanks for organising lucky dips, water bombs and for the endless blowing up of nearly 100 punch balloons and 137 ballons to go in Billy Van! You are stars and helped to raise a whopping £82-63 . Not bad when you think that most we were charging was 50p!!

The school wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to you all for giving up your time to support our school…..and so do I! Big hugs guys.

Plus I can’t leave out those who turned up to support the fete but due to a communucation malfunction arrived on the wrong day! I just want you to know that I really appreciate you turning up and I’m really sorry that I confused you…………according to my goodly husband I do that a lot lol!

We raised £107.83 for the school. Many thanks to all who came to support the school. Deb Eveleigh my headteacher and the PSA would like to extend their thanks to the mini club for their kind support. The minis are such a success and are very popular with the children and adults alike.

Another great show with lots of fun and laughter! Great success for the club as well as we won best club stand with a fab world cup inspired display.  Congratulations to Gary Pedder who won a trophy with his lovely little clubby estate. Well done to all!

We returned triumphant from Beaulieu after winning Non-Mini Cooper Club Stand for the second year running. Gary collected the trophy on behalf of the club from Paddy Hopkirk, however this was done in a manly manner with a brief handshake and without the kiss that I received from Paddy last year

Well done to everyone who turned out and especially to Mandy who parked us up very prettily so that we caught the eye of the judges. We hope that Justin didn’t have to sleep on the street when he arrived home with his new purchase…….I’ll leave Justin to explain. Well done again.

A fantastic result and a great big ‘well done’ to all who went and took part in the day. A special thanks goes to Gary Mapletoft for his hard work and effort in decorating the stand and purchasing and designing the T-shirts for the club members.

The Poole Quay Run was a great success, despite Geraldine breaking down on the way (only a fuse – no panic!). Poole Quay was FULL of minis of all ages, colours and shapes:

Great turn out on the fancy dress guys, our galleon most definitely sailed with a wild looking crew!
Huge congratulations to Greg Ridout for a fantastic 2nd place in his category in the show and shine with his fab little mini ‘Snowy’. This could be a sign of another winning year for us. Well done Greg and Snowy.
Congratulations also go to Martin for 3rd place in his category with his little pocket rocket. Well done Martin.

However, Newquay was also a scene of great sadness. We are sad to report on the passing of a great club member. It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of Randy Schneider, Sausage Hider and International Porn Star.  Randy left us in a blaze of glory and an obituary will follow shortly to commemorate such a great club member and his contribution to his art. Our condolences go to his brother Frank and all who knew him.

This year it clashed with the Newquay trip so only one lonely mini was in attendance but we rolled out the sign anyway and drove round the ring parade with some other minis, which were obviously flyer’d (although I’m not sure how many survived the short shower!)
A good weekend, not far to drive and much more than cars to look round.
